More about me…..

Where do I start?  I’m South African but now living in England for 8 years.  I’m 31 years old (I still feel 21!) I was originally looking at doing the Kilimanjao climb and stumbled across the Kilimanjaro marathon, which I decided to do and whilst researching that I stumbled across the Kili-man challenge, which sounds absolutely awesome!!!!  I would love to hear from anyone who is training or has done the challenge…in english of course cause my understanding of German is non existent!  I have quite a few events lined up over the next two years which include half marathons, marathons, bike rides and several walking trips which will take place closer to 2011.   Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing stories!

    Hi Tanja,
congratulation that you could manage to write something without understanding the German “outfit” of our blog.
May be you have a look to Evelyns preparation (participant 2009) under http://archive.gulfnews.com/articles/08/12/17/10268175.html.

The current information you will find is:

Training … Blood, sweat & tears!

A Sponsor section will also be available very soon, so keep watching the space! If you are interested to receive a monthly notification of my progress, please respond to this message or contact me on livelovedo@gmail.com for any information or inquiries regarding the Challenge. Hi Tanja,
Congractulions about your disicion. It will be your best journey in your life! But also hard! But I’m sure you will take it. I raid you will train a lot for this challenge bevor. That’s good. It is pretty important to be fit then you get good results and you have less problems with the recovery from the strains. Good luck!

Sorry Verena, that your comment had to wait before going public so long. We had two events to advertise KiliMAN 2010 and no time to look in deep to the blog. Even Mario promise since a log time some advise for Tanja about preparations. Lets hope after his 72km (Rennsteiglauf) and recovering he will do.
